New Delhi, Oct. 15 -- Marking one of its biggest ever investment in the country. Google will invest $15 billion over the next five years to set up data centre capacity for an artificial intelligence hub in India's Andhra Pradesh. The investment is one of Google's largest AI hub investments in the world outside of the U.S.
Union I-T Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw hailed the decision of Google for investing in India, said that digital infrastructure will go a long way in meeting the goals of India AI mission.
Earlier, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said that this investment is not just for Andhra Pradesh but for the country.
