New Delhi, Oct. 13 -- The first seven Israeli hostages were released in Gaza today and handed over to the Red Cross. They will soon be transferred to the Israeli military.
Cheers erupted in Hostages Square as news of their release broke.
Earlier, Hamas published a list of 20 living hostages set to be freed. These individuals have been held in Gaza since the October 7 attacks in 2023. In exchange, Israel is set to release 1,966 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
