New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- The Election Commission today issued notification for biennial elections for 11 Rajya Sabha seats. This includes ten seats in Uttar Pradesh and one seat in Uttrakhand. BJP leaders and Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri, B L Verma, Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, Ramji of BSP and six others are completing their terms on 25th November.

Naresh Bansal from Uttarakhand is also completing his tenure on 25th November. The commission has also issued notification for bypoll in one seat of Rajya Sabha in West Bengal. The seat was vacant due to the resignation of TMC MP Rukmini Mallik. Nomination has started from today and polling will be held on 16th October.
