New Delhi, Feb. 3 -- China has criticised the awarding of a Grammy to the Dalai Lama, accusing cultural honours of being used for political purposes. The honour was announced at the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
The reaction from Beijing comes despite the Dalai Lama's long-standing advocacy of non-violence and dialogue, for which he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, even as China continues to brand him a separatist.
