New Delhi, July 21 -- The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has been suspended for two days as a precautionary measure due to continuous heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions in the region.

Officials said no pilgrims will be allowed to proceed from the Baltal base camp to the Holy Cave on July 21 and 22. The decision has been taken to ensure the safety of yatris amid slippery tracks and the risk of landslides and flash floods.

The administration has advised pilgrims to remain at designated camps and follow all safety guidelines. Arrangements, including accommodation, food and medical facilities, have been made at the base camps for stranded pilgrims.
