New Delhi, July 30 -- A team of Indian scientists has shed new insight into how life may have originated on Earth, aiding future planetary exploration. The discovery was made by the scientists from Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (BSIP), an autonomous institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DST). According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the team has observed rapid carbonate precipitation in the extreme environment of Puga valley in Ladakh, which could act as a real-world prebiotic reactor and preservation site.
