New Delhi, Aug. 11 -- As many as seven young Indian women boxers won medals at the U19 Asian Boxing Championships in Bangkok on Sunday.

Pugilists Nisha and Muskan showcased their skills by winning gold medals, while five others bagged silver.

Of the 10 female boxers in the fray in the U19 category, nine will return with medals, which include two gold, five silver, and two bronze.

This achievement underlines the prowess of the Indians, who competed against pugilists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, and others.
