India, March 14 -- The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday, March 14, 2026, announced that activist Sonam Wangchuk's detention under the National Security Act (NSA) has been revoked immediately.

The MHA said the government is focused on maintaining peace, stability, and trust in Ladakh while fostering constructive dialogue with all communities. After careful review, authorities decided to end Wangchuk's detention using the powers provided under the NSA.

The ministry added that the Union Government has been consulting local leaders and community representatives in Ladakh to address the region's concerns and aspirations.
