New Delhi, April 21 -- Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan visited houses built under the Government of India-assisted Indian Housing Project (Phase III) at Liddlesdale Estate in Ragala, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, where he interacted with beneficiaries, particularly members of the Indian-origin Tamil community.

During the visit, he expressed satisfaction at meeting the residents and reiterated that India remains deeply committed to the welfare of Tamil people in Sri Lanka.
