New Delhi, April 27 -- Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said he held an industry engagement in Agra with leaders from the leather and footwear, AYUSH, pharma, medical devices, light engineering and sports goods sectors, joined by Todd McClay, Minister for Trade and Investment of New Zealand.
He said the 'Agra: World Capital of Footwear' brand campaign was launched to celebrate the skills of artisans and women entrepreneurs, and to position Agra as a global sourcing destination, employment engine and export hub.
Goyal said the India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement marks a defining milestone that will unlock new opportunities for farmers, women, artisans, MSMEs, businesses and skilled professionals.
