New Delhi, Feb. 27 -- The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory regarding excavation work being carried out by the Delhi Jal Board on Chelmsford Road, opposite New Delhi Railway Station in the Paharganj area. The digging work, undertaken for restoration of a settled sewer line, will continue from February 26 to March 5, 2026.

During this period, traffic movement on Chelmsford Road and its adjoining and connecting roads is likely to remain affected and partially restricted due to ongoing excavation activities. The affected stretches include Chelmsford Road (opposite New Delhi Railway Station), the Munjia Chowk area, and connecting roads towards the Paharganj side.
