Supreme Court puts a stay on the counting process of Delhi Bar Council election
New Delhi, May 19 -- The Supreme Court stayed further counting of votes in the Bar Council of Delhi elections following allegations of major irregularities, including claims that tampered ballot papers were being included in the counting process. A bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi took up the matter after Advocate Shobha Gupta sought urgent intervention, describing the situation as an emergency and alleging that manipulated ballot papers were being counted.
