New Delhi, May 1 -- A seminar on "World War I and India" was organised in the historic chamber of the Delhi Legislative Assembly to mark the 108th anniversary of the 1918 'War Conference'. The event highlighted India's role during the First World War and revisited the historical significance of the conference held in 1918 at the same venue, then known as the Council Chamber of the Imperial Secretariat.
Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta attended the seminar, which was also graced by Mizoram Governor V. K. Singh. On the occasion, a new edition of the proceedings of the 1918 War Conference was released, offering insights into key decisions of the period and India's contribution to the war effort.
