New Delhi, July 6 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a 500 kW solar power plant at the Air Force and Naval Officers Enclave in Dwarka, highlighting the growing adoption of renewable energy by residential communities.

Gupta said the shift towards solar energy by housing colonies and community complexes is a significant step towards a cleaner, more affordable and self-reliant future, benefiting both the environment and future generations.

The Chief Minister also encouraged eligible families in Delhi to take advantage of the rooftop solar benefits available under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, stating that beneficiaries can receive incentives of over Rs.1 lakh for installing rooftop solar systems.
