New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- According to RBI data, FCNR(B) deposits accounted for the largest share, with banks mobilising $132.98 billion by August 31. Inflows through OFCBs amounted to $5.32 billion, while ECBs contributed another $5.296 billion.

The RBI introduced the special swap facility on June 8, 2026, to cover forex inflows through FCNR(B) deposits, ECBs and OFCBs. The window for mobilising FCNR(B) deposits under the scheme remained open until August 31.

The facility continues to remain available for ECB and OFCB inflows until December 31, 2026. The figures are based on inflows reported by authorised dealer banks to the RBI up to September 18.
