New Delhi, April 15 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump, during which both leaders reviewed the progress in India-US bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between India and United States in all areas.

They also discussed the evolving situation in West Asia and emphasized the importance of maintaining the security and openness of the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy corridor.
