New Delhi, June 9 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan after his ruling Civil Contract party secured victory in Armenia's parliamentary elections.

In a message posted on social media, Modi said the renewed mandate reflected the Armenian people's faith and confidence in Pashinyan's leadership and vision. He also expressed his eagerness to work closely with the Armenian leader to further strengthen the warm and historic ties of friendship and cooperation between India and Armenia.
