New Delhi, May 14 -- Thiru N. Rangasamy took oath as the Chief Minister of Puducherry at a ceremony held at Lok Niwas, where Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan administered the oath of office and secrecy.

Bharatiya Janata Party legislature party leader A. Namassivayam and AINRC legislator Malladi Krishna Rao were also sworn in as Ministers as the NDA formed its second government in the Union Territory.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Rangasamy on assuming office and said the Chief Minister has established himself as an experienced and efficient administrator who has contributed to Puducherry's development journey.
