New Delhi, March 24 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has carried out a major waste clearance operation, removing 250 metric tonnes of legacy waste from inaccessible locations in the Karol Bagh Zone, marking a first-of-its-kind initiative in scientific waste management in Delhi.

The operation was conducted at Daya Basti Railway Station, where the waste was loaded onto 10 railway bogie wagons for transportation. The entire process was carried out with green net covering to ensure environmentally safe handling and transportation of waste.
