New Delhi, March 30 -- Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated that he had the privilege of bowing in reverence along with the Sikh congregation during a programme dedicated to 'Delhi Fateh Diwas' organised by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee at the Red Fort.
He said that Delhi Fateh Diwas stands as a symbol of the bravery and unwavering faith of the Sikh community. Recalling the historical significance of the day, he noted that in 1783, under the leadership of Baghel Singh, along with Jassa Singh Ahluwalia and Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, around 30,000 Sikh soldiers entered Delhi on horseback and elephants, defeated the Mughals, captured the Diwan-i-Aam at the Red Fort, and hoisted the Nishan Sahib.
