Jaishankar chairs Consultative Committee meeting on India's ties with West Asia
New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar chaired a meeting of the Consultative Committee on India's relations with West Asia in New Delhi.
Jaishankar highlighted India's close relations with the Gulf and the wider West Asia and North Africa region, including longstanding partnerships in trade, investment, energy, maritime cooperation and people-to-people ties.
The External Affairs Minister also underlined India's efforts to ensure the welfare of around 10 million Indians living in the region.
He said India is working to safeguard its energy and fertilizer security amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
