India supports a safe, secure, peaceful and sustainable space domain anchored in international law, dialogue and multilateral cooperation: PM Modi
New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- Addressing the Summit, Modi said countries must choose cooperation over confrontation, sustainability over short-term gains and inclusion over exclusion as space becomes increasingly crowded and technologies become more powerful.
He thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for inviting him to the summit and said India's approach to space is guided by the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - One Earth, One Family, One Future.
Highlighting India's space programme, Modi said more than 430 satellites from 34 countries have been launched aboard Indian rockets. He said ISRO's capabilities are being used in areas such as agriculture, fisheries, weather forecasting, disaster management and navigation.
