New Delhi, March 5 -- Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri said that India has adequate energy reserves to deal with the evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East. Addressing members of the media during an informal interaction, the minister briefed them on various aspects of the global energy scenario and India's preparedness in the current circumstances.
He said India's energy strategy continues to be guided by the "energy trilemma" of availability, affordability and sustainability under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The government's focus, he said, remains on ensuring uninterrupted energy supplies to meet the requirements of Indian citizens despite global uncertainties.
