India Dispatches First Tranche of Medical Aid to Africa Amid Ebola Emergency
New Delhi, May 25 -- External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar announced that India has dispatched the first tranche of urgent medical supplies and protective kits to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) in response to the emerging Ebola public health emergency in Africa.
In a post on X, Jaishankar said India remained committed to supporting Africa in tackling the evolving health crisis. He stated that the emergency medical assistance was sent to Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention as part of India's support efforts for the continent.
