New Delhi, July 8 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Monday held comprehensive bilateral talks covering defence, trade, technology, maritime security, healthcare, agriculture, education, space and regional issues, leading to the signing of 14 agreements and the announcement of six new bilateral initiatives to deepen the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Prime Minister Modi was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Istana Merdeka (Presidential Palace) during his State Visit to Indonesia. The meeting was the first between the two leaders since President Prabowo's visit to India as the Chief Guest for the 76th Republic Day celebrations in January 2025.
