New Delhi, Aug. 31 -- CNG prices in Delhi and adjoining cities have increased by Rs.3.89 per kg from 29 August, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) announced

The revised prices came into effect from 6 am on August 29.

IGL attributed the increase to higher input costs, saying a significant share of the gas used for CNG is currently being sourced through imported liquefied natural gas (LNG).

According to the company, international spot LNG prices have risen since the beginning of the West Asia conflict, increasing the cost of supplying CNG.

IGL said the Rs.3.89-per-kg revision had become necessary to partially absorb the impact of higher input gas costs, as international LNG prices continue to remain elevated.
