New Delhi, July 7 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued notifications for by-elections to three vacant Assembly constituencies-Datia in Madhya Pradesh, Manjalpur in Gujarat and Bankipur in Bihar. With the issuance of the notifications on July 6, the process of filing nominations has officially commenced.

According to the election schedule announced by the Commission, candidates can file their nominations until July 13, 2026. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on July 14, while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is July 16.

Polling, if required, will be conducted on July 30, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Counting of votes will take place on August 3, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. onwards, and the entire electio...
