Jaishankar addressed the inaugural session of the 9th Indian Ocean Conference alongside Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam and Ram Madhav, highlighting India's strategic vision for the Indian Ocean region. He underlined that the Indian Ocean is not merely a geographic framework but an interconnected ecosystem-serving as a resource provider, a hub of connectivity, and a shared cultural space. He stressed that global disruptions have deep and immediate impacts on its member states.
