New Delhi, April 30 -- External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar welcomed Ecuador's Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld Rosero on her first visit to India.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to deepen cooperation in areas including trade, health, agriculture, digital development and capacity building, and agreed to cooperate closely in multilateral forums.

Separately, Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita hosted the visiting minister in New Delhi and said the visit reflects the growing momentum in India-Ecuador relations.
