New Delhi, April 9 -- External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar hosted Bangladesh's Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and his delegation in New Delhi, where both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations across multiple sectors.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed various aspects of the India-Bangladesh partnership and exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest. India reiterated its desire to engage constructively with the new government in Bangladesh and deepen cooperation through existing bilateral mechanisms, with follow-up official meetings expected soon.
Bangladesh Prime Minister's Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir was also present at the discussions.
