New Delhi, March 18 -- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) successfully concluded its women empowerment initiative 'Sahas',aimed at equipping female employees with self-defence skills through structured training programmes conducted in collaboration with the Delhi Police.

The initiative was implemented in two phases. In the first phase, around 1,100 female employees underwent basic self-defence training workshops. These sessions were conducted last year at Metro Bhavan in four batches, in association with the Delhi Police. The workshops were led by Inspector Kiran Sethi, widely known as "Lady Singham."
