New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- During the extended period, eligible women will continue to receive paper-based pink tickets for free travel in DTC and Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System cluster buses.

The earlier arrangement for issuing paper-based pink tickets was scheduled to end on September 17, while the Pink Saheli Smart Card was to become mandatory from September 18. The DTC has now revised the deadline and deferred the mandatory smart-card requirement.

The Pink Saheli Smart Card, also known as the Pink National Common Mobility Card, will become mandatory from October 1, 2026. From that date, women will be allowed to travel free of cost only after tapping a valid Pink Saheli Smart Card. Those without the card will have to purchas...
