New Delhi, April 28 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu chaired a meeting with all concerned departments and agencies to review Delhi's preparedness for the upcoming heatwave.
With the onset of summer, he directed all officers to ensure that the heatwave action plan is effectively implemented on the ground within one week. District Magistrates have been instructed to take a lead role in execution, with special focus on protecting vulnerable groups, including women, children, the elderly, and labourers, through strong heat mitigation measures at public places.
