New Delhi, July 1 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu chaired a review meeting on the functioning of the Indian Red Cross Society, Delhi Branch, and the St. John Ambulance Association, stressing the need to strengthen their humanitarian and emergency response capabilities.

During the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor reviewed the operational roadmap of both institutions and discussed measures for a comprehensive overhaul to improve efficiency, strengthen institutional capacity, and enhance service delivery. He also deliberated on steps to make St. John Ambulance services more effective and responsive, with a focus on ensuring the availability of adequately trained personnel.
