New Delhi, March 31 -- Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's solid waste dump site at Bhalswa landfill to review the progress of ongoing bioremediation efforts. The visit focused on assessing the status of waste processing and identifying measures to accelerate the clean-up of legacy waste.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's earlier remarks highlighting the three major dump sites in Delhi-Bhalswa, Ghazipur, and Okhla-as "mountains of garbage," the Lieutenant Governor noted that sustained work on their removal began in 2022.
