New Delhi, May 30 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu delivered the keynote address at the Indo-Sri Lanka Economic Conference held at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, where he emphasized the strong and evolving relationship between India and Sri Lanka.

The Lieutenant Governor said that the ties between the two countries are rooted in shared history, culture, and commerce, and have today developed into a robust strategic partnership. He described Sri Lanka as an indispensable partner for India in the Indian Ocean region.
