New Delhi, March 19 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena chaired a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to review key issues related to disaster preparedness and urban infrastructure.
The meeting focused on measures to mitigate urban flooding and the implementation of Delhi's Drainage Master Plan, aligned with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on proactive disaster risk management.
The Lieutenant Governor also took stock of the recent residential fire incident in the city and directed authorities to conduct a comprehensive fire safety audit across localities and institutions to strengthen preventive mechanisms.
