New Delhi, July 29 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the Delhi Laxmi Yojana portal will be launched on August 1, enabling eligible women to submit their applications for the monthly financial assistance scheme.

The Chief Minister said that after completion of the application process, the first installment of Rs.2,500 will be credited to eligible women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Describing the initiative as more than a financial assistance programme, Rekha Gupta said the monthly support would help families meet essential needs, including medicines for mothers, education expenses for daughters, and day-to-day household costs.
