New Delhi, April 29 -- According to a statement by the Delhi Chief Minister's Office (CMO), Delhi government has, for the first time, taken a historic decision by notifying the "Ridge Area" and declaring 4200 hectares of land as a protected forest area. The move is aimed at ensuring clean air and a safe environment for future generations.

"Now is the time for society to connect with the government. Whether it is small spaces along roadsides, rooftops of houses, balconies, or open premises - wherever possible, every citizen should contribute to increasing greenery with one plant, one effort, and one commitment.
