Delhi government announces measures for cleaning of Yamuna
New Delhi, May 26 -- The Delhi Government has announced a series of major water and sewerage infrastructure projects worth over Rs.1,000 crore under its "Mission Clean Yamuna" initiative, aimed at restoring the Yamuna and strengthening water management systems across the national capital.
According to the Chief Minister's Office, the projects are being implemented with support from the Central Government and are intended to accelerate efforts towards building a cleaner Yamuna and a "Viksit Delhi". The initiative includes the construction of 12 new Decentralised Sewage Treatment Plants (DSTPs) in Najafgarh at an investment of Rs.860 crore, which is expected to benefit more than seven lakh residents while reducing sewage pollution entering...
