New Delhi, Feb. 27 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a major infrastructure initiative to underground overhead electricity wires in Chandni Chowk, marking what she described as a step that balances heritage preservation with modern development.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said Chandni Chowk has for centuries remained a vibrant centre of trade and culture, with its historic havelis and narrow lanes reflecting Delhi's rich legacy.
