New Delhi, April 13 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has directed cross-verification of the last five years' financial records of government undertakings associated with liquor sales.
It has recently come to light that in some places, accounts were not properly reconciled for a long time, leading to irregularities and a situation of potential loss to the government exchequer.
To address this, strict monitoring of accounts will now be undertaken. Every record will be properly matched, and verification and validation will be ensured throughout the entire process.
