New Delhi, April 10 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired a review meeting and directed all departments to work in coordination to ensure that waterlogging is completely prevented during the upcoming monsoon season.

The government emphasised that the objective is not merely to drain out accumulated water during rains, but to create a system where water does not collect at all. Preparations for the monsoon have already begun across the city.

Officials were instructed to accelerate the cleaning of drains, ensure timely removal of silt, and deploy machines effectively so that the issue can be addressed at its root. The Chief Minister stressed that coordinated action and continuous monitoring are key to achieving lasting results.
