New Delhi, June 18 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired a meeting of the Apex Committee to review flood control and waterlogging prevention measures ahead of the upcoming monsoon season. During the meeting, the Irrigation and Flood Control Department issued the Flood Control Order-2026 outlining preparedness measures across the city.

The Chief Minister directed all departments to work with full readiness to ensure that residents do not face inconvenience during the monsoon. She announced that the number of pumps has been increased in waterlogging-prone areas and that a nodal officer will be appointed for every identified waterlogging point to ensure swift response and coordination.
