New Delhi, May 18 -- The Delhi Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has decided to reduce Value Added Tax on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) from 25 per cent to 7 per cent in view of changing global fuel-related circumstances. According to the Delhi government, the concessional rate will initially remain in force for six months.

The Delhi government said the decision is aimed at providing relief to air passengers and making air travel more affordable and convenient. It added that the move is also expected to strengthen Delhi's connectivity and boost trade, investment and employment opportunities.
