New Delhi, Sept. 30 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the sweeping machines would regularly remove dust accumulated on smaller roads across the capital. The initiative will cover 854 roads in Delhi's 250 wards.

The Cabinet also approved collaboration with IIT Delhi for 24-hour monitoring of PM2.5 and PM10. Gupta said this would help identify pollution sources and their contribution, enabling effective action at the source.

"Making Delhi's air clean is our priority. For this, our government is working 365 days, 24x7 with science, technology, and solid steps at the grassroots level," Gupta said in a post on X.

The decisions seek to strengthen road-dust control and use real-time pollution data to guide targeted action across Delhi.
