New Delhi, June 4 -- The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Central Zone, along with Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials, conducted an inspection of civic improvement works in the Jangpura and Defence Colony Underpass areas under the zone.

During the visit, ongoing deep cleaning and extensive sanitation activities were reviewed. Encroachments on MCD land were also inspected and necessary directions were issued for their removal to ensure better utilisation of public spaces.

The progress of road widening and beautification works was assessed to help decongest the area and improve traffic movement. A rainwater harvesting structure being developed to address waterlogging concerns was also reviewed.
