Cyprus-India friendship is strong and futuristic: PM Modi
New Delhi, May 23 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides held bilateral talks in New Delhi and announced the elevation of India-Cyprus relations to a Strategic Partnership, aimed at expanding cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity, security, technology and people-to-people ties.
In his press statement following the talks, Prime Minister Modi said India and Cyprus share strong and future-oriented relations based on democratic values, rule of law and mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
