New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- Safflower recorded the highest absolute increase of Rs.675 per quintal, taking its MSP to Rs.7,215, followed by rapeseed and mustard, whose MSP increased by Rs.413 to Rs.6,613 per quintal. The MSP for lentil (masur) rose by Rs.390 to Rs.7,390 per quintal, while barley registered an increase of Rs.136 to Rs.2,286 per quintal. Gram's MSP increased by Rs.83 to Rs.5,958 per quintal, and wheat's MSP rose by Rs.25 to Rs.2,610 per quintal.

The estimated cost of production for the Marketing Season 2027-28 is Rs.1,264 per quintal for wheat, Rs.1,447 for barley, Rs.3,751 for gram, Rs.3,854 for lentil, Rs.3,367 for rapeseed and mustard, and Rs.4,810 for safflower.
