New Delhi, Sept. 15 -- The declaration reaffirmed the grouping's commitment to mutual respect, sovereign equality, solidarity, openness, inclusiveness, collaboration and consensus. BRICS leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation under the three pillars of political and security cooperation, economic and financial cooperation, and cultural and people-to-people cooperation.

The leaders commended India's BRICS Chairship in 2026 and welcomed the organisation of more than 400 meetings involving ministers, parliamentarians, heads of agencies, officials, experts, businesses and citizens across 30 Indian cities. They also welcomed India's hosting of the Outreach and BRICS Plus Dialogue at the summit.
